YourLifeCC.com is designed as a parent-led family tool. The service is directed at parents and guardians — not at children acting independently.

• Parents and guardians (18+) create accounts, manage settings, and control all access
• Children of any age may be added as profiles by their parent — but they do not create their own accounts
• Children access the app through a PIN set by the parent, not through an independent login
• The app is primarily designed for families with children ages 13 and older, though all age groups are supported under parental supervision

HOW PARENTAL CONSENT WORKS

We obtain and record parental consent before any child profile is created. Here is the exact process:

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT CHILDREN

Data entered by parents about their child:

• Child's first name and age (required to create a profile)
• Chore assignments, behavioral notes, school grade inputs
• Section access settings (which parts of the app the child can see)
• Parent Hub configuration and reward settings

Data entered directly by children (under parental supervision):

• Journal entries and personal reflections
• Quiz and lesson responses
• Chore completion check-offs
• Goal progress updates
• Other self-directed inputs within sections the parent has enabled

All of the above is stored in the parent's Supabase-backed account and is accessible only to that parent. We do not use this data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the service to the parent account holder.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & CHILDREN'S DATA

Here is specifically which third-party services receive child-related data and which do not:

• Supabase — Receives child data. Child profile data is stored in our Supabase database. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified and hosted on AWS. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Supabase Privacy Policy →
• Brevo — Does not receive child data. Only the parent's email address is stored in Brevo for account communications.
• Stripe — Does not receive child data. Stripe handles parent billing only.
• Vercel — Does not receive child data. Standard server logs contain IP addresses and request metadata only.
• Sentry — Does not receive child data. Error reports contain technical diagnostic data only — not app content such as journal entries or profile information.
• Google Fonts — Does not receive child data. Font loading may log visitor IP addresses per Google's standard practices.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A PARENT

Under COPPA and our own policies, you have the right to:

• Review all personal information we have collected about your child — log into the app at any time to see your child's full profile and data
• Correct any inaccurate information directly in the app
• Delete your child's profile and all associated data — either through the app or by contacting us
• Withdraw consent and refuse further collection or use of your child's data by removing the child profile
• Export all data associated with your account including child data in JSON format

SPECIAL NOTE: CHILDREN UNDER 13

While YourLifeCC.com is primarily designed for families with teens, children of all ages may be added by a parent. If your child is under 13:

• The consent acknowledgment you provide at child profile creation serves as verifiable parental consent under COPPA
• All data protections described in this policy apply fully and without exception
• Your child cannot independently access, modify, or delete their profile
• We apply the same "never sell, never profile, never advertise" rules regardless of age
